The Right Valves for Your Application and Specifications

RES Energy Solutions supplies a comprehensive range of industrial valves for natural gas compression, gathering, processing, and midstream applications — from hand ball valves to fully actuated automated assemblies. Whether you’re outfitting a new compression skid, replacing a failed valve in the field, or sourcing for a capital project, our team can quote across valve types, pressure classes, and manufacturers.

Actuation

Emerson

Emerson is a global leader in valve actuation and automation, with a broad portfolio of pneumatic actuators for industrial valve applications. Emerson actuation products are widely specified on natural gas compression and processing facilities for their reliability, integration capability, and global support infrastructure.

  • Ranges from ½″ to 24″ and ANSI Class 150–2500 ball valves
  • Pneumatic actuators for quarter-turn valve applications
  • Positioners, limit switches, and solenoid valve accessories
  • SCADA- and DCS-compatible actuator controls
Biffi

Biffi (an Emerson brand) specializes in heavy-duty pneumatic actuators for demanding pipeline and industrial valve applications — commonly specified on large-bore and high-pressure valves in gathering and transmission service.

  • Ranges from ½″ to 24″ and ANSI Class 150–1500 ball valves
  • Scotch-yoke actuators for high-torque valve operation
  • Spring-return and double-acting configurations

Engineering note: Actuator sizing requires valve torque specifications (breakaway, running, seating), supply medium (air, gas, hydraulic), supply pressure, and fail position (fail-open or fail-closed). Provide these parameters when requesting an actuator quote.

Flanged Ball Valves

Neway

Neway flanged ball valves are a cost-effective, proven solution for natural gas and midstream applications — available in a range of pressure classes and bore configurations for both new installations and replacement sourcing.

  • Full-bore and reduced-bore flanged ball valves
  • Available in ANSI Class 150–600, and higher pressure ratings
  • Carbon steel and stainless trim configurations
  • Raised face and ring type joint (RTJ) flange options
  • Trunnion-mounted designs for large-bore, high-pressure applications
  • Anti-static and fire-safe designs available

Gate, Globe & Check Valves

Neway

Neway provides ball, gate, globe, and check valves as a cost-competitive alternative across common pressure classes and end configurations for natural gas and industrial applications.

  • Gate valves: full-bore and standard-bore, available in ANSI Class 150–2500
  • Globe valves: for throttling and flow control applications
  • Check valves: swing and piston check configurations for gas service
  • Available in carbon steel, chrome-moly, and stainless trim
  • Bolted and welded bonnet configurations
Chaoda

Chaoda provides ball, gate, globe, and check valves as a cost-competitive alternative across common pressure classes and end configurations for natural gas and industrial applications.

  • Gate, globe, and check valves for natural gas and midstream service
  • Available in ANSI Class 150–2500 pressure ratings
  • Carbon steel body with a range of trim configurations

Swing & Piston Valves

RES Energy Solutions supplies swing check valves and piston check valves for natural gas compression and process applications — contact our team for current manufacturer availability and specifications for your required pressure class and service conditions.

  • Swing check valves for gas and liquid service
  • Piston check valves for higher-pressure or pulsating flow applications
  • Available in a range of pressure classes and end configurations

Engineering note: Check valve selection (swing vs. piston) depends on flow velocity, pressure drop tolerance, and susceptibility to water hammer. Piston check valves are generally preferred in higher-pressure and pulsating compression applications.

Hand Ball Valves

Mako

Mako hand ball valves provide a reliable, economical solution for manual isolation in natural gas, instrument, and utility service — a staple product for compression skid builders and maintenance teams.

  • Manual quarter-turn ball valves in threaded configurations
  • Available in brass, carbon steel, and stainless steel body materials
  • Full-bore and standard-bore configurations
  • Instrument and process sizes: 1/4″ through 2″ (confirm larger sizes with RES team)
  • Two-piece and three-piece body designs

Dual Plate Check Valves

Chaoda

Dual plate (wafer-style) check valves offer a compact, lightweight alternative to full-body swing check valves — commonly used in compression and process piping where face-to-face dimensions or weight are a consideration.

  • Dual plate wafer check valves for gas and process service
  • Compact face-to-face dimension fits between standard ASME flanges
  • Available in ANSI Class 150-600
  • Carbon steel and stainless configurations

Notes

  • Actuation sizing requires valve torque data, supply medium, supply pressure, and fail-safe position — provide all four when requesting an actuator quote
  • Neway flanged ball valves are available in trunnion-mounted configurations for large-bore, high-pressure service where floating ball designs are insufficient
  • Dual plate check valves have lower pressure drop than swing checks — preferred for high-velocity or space-constrained applications
  • Fire-safe and anti-static valve configurations available on Neway ball valves for hazardous area compliance
  • Valves quoted to your pressure class, end type, material, and trim specification
  • Mako hand ball valves stocked in common sizes for same-day availability
  • Actuated valve assemblies (valve + actuator + accessories) available as complete packages
  • Send your valve tag list, spec sheet, or P&ID requirements for a project quote

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you supply actuated valve packages — valve plus actuator assembled and tested?

Yes. RES Energy Solutions can source and coordinate complete actuated valve assemblies — valve body, actuator, positioner, solenoid, and limit switches — configured to your specification. Provide your valve size, pressure class, actuator type (pneumatic/electric), and fail position and we’ll put together a complete package quote.

Neway flanged ball valves are available from ANSI Class 150 through ANSI Class 2500. Common stocked configurations are ANSI Class 150, 300, and 600. Higher pressure classes and large bore sizes are available on order. Contact RES Energy Solutions with your specific requirements.

Yes. Stainless steel body and trim configurations are available across gate, globe, check, and ball valve types. Specify your service fluid, pressure, temperature, and required material (304SS, 316SS, duplex, etc.) when inquiring.

Yes. NACE MR0175-compliant valve configurations are available on select products for sour gas or H2S-containing service. Provide your H2S partial pressure and temperature along with your valve specification. A gas analysis is optimal for proper materials selection.
